Department of Information Technology
The Department of Information Technology is involved in teaching Master’s and Bachelor’s course modules in both full time and part time form of study. It provides tuition of three compulsory modules of Bachelor’s degree programmes (‘Information Technology I, II and III) and compulsory modules of ‘Public Administration and Public Relations’ programme (‘Information Technology for PR and PA’ and ‘Statistics’). It also delivers teaching of a part of a compulsory Master’s degree module (‘Information Technology Applications’). The department also offers four optional modules: ‘Training for ECDL Certificate’, ‘Database system’, ‘Computer Graphics’ and ‘Website Presentations’.
Besides teaching, the department is also responsible for the computer classroom operation, where students can work on their assignments individually. The members of the department are ready to assist the students with any technical queries they may have. The members of the department also cooperate with other departments regarding the use of information technology.
The department runs the ECDL CZ154 testing centre.
